Description

This links Spoke 8N in Langley Park south to Spoke 8S on Slough Arm Canal, but continues west on the improved towpath of the Slough Arm Canal. The whole route is fairly family friendly but the best riding is within Burnham Beeches.

On Trenches Lane at 0.9 NCN61 is signed R, but the route is unclear; better to reach the canal 1.1 (straight on for Langley; For Spoke 8 S L at the bridge 1.6 to pick up NCN 61 signs over the railway and on through Langley) - and then follow it to its abrupt terminus 3.3. Follow Stoke Road S 3.4 to reach Slough and fast frequent services. A few suburban Slough streets (L, R, L, R) and NCN461 is met in Baylis Gardens 4. The chicane-protected cycle-path takes you to Farnham Royal 5.7. Here the route has been extended to include more of Burnham Beeches, reached by quiet lanes; R Crown Lane 6, L East Burnham 6.4, then L 6.7 to Burnham Beeches 7.3 where Lord Mayor's Ride will take you delightfully to a reunion with Spoke 8N at the cafe.
