You are soon out of Egham, but must tackle 0.4 the A30 roundabout (as a pedestrian if conditions are adverse), then 200m of bypass before L on NCN4 track beside Runnymede NT. This soon becomes very steep with a rough surface; take care again. Once up Coopers Hill, L 1.2 the Air Forces Memorial, then exclusive estate roads to Bishops Gate and into Windsor Great Park. Here Spoke 7a takes over southbound L 2.8, merging soon with Arc 9.
The family friendly section is all the riding within the Great Park (Arc 9, Spoke 7a and 7b)
This spoke turns N (R) and through deer-proof gates for a mile of deer park and magnificent views of the castle. Arc 9 northbound is met at the conveniently placed Post Office Stores in The Village (for regal refreshments).
