Description

You are soon out of Egham, but must tackle 0.4 the A30 roundabout (as a pedestrian if conditions are adverse), then 200m of bypass before L on NCN4 track beside Runnymede NT. This soon becomes very steep with a rough surface; take care again. Once up Coopers Hill, L 1.2 the Air Forces Memorial, then exclusive estate roads to Bishops Gate and into Windsor Great Park. However, if the brief but extremely steep and rough ascent (or descent) offroad is not to your liking, an alternate route from the Egham roundabout to Bishops Gate via Tite Hill is recommended.

The family friendly section is all the riding within the Great Park (Arc 9, Spoke 7a and 7b)

This spoke used to turn N (R) and through deer-proof gates for a mile of deer park and magnificent views of the castle, but now, as with Spoke 7a, cycles are forbidden ridden or pushed, and this spoke must deviate S to join Arc 9 for now, rejoining its old route at the western deerproof gates defore terminating at the Post Office Stores in The Village (for regal refreshments).
