Description

The first spoke since Enfield Lock is a twin system from Hayes up through the hilly and very rural southern sector of LB Bromley; this east route is hillier. The first section can be via Keston Common, as here, or via Jackass Lane Spoke 2W; the routes merge at Keston Church 2.5 and continue up to Downe.

L at Downe village 3.8 then steeply down and up through the lovely Downie Bank valley to  Cudham church 5.2; the final 100m will be a challenge not to dismount and walk.  At Cacket’s Lane 5.6 L for a further roller coaster to Knockholt Church 7.1 with another steep final section.
