Clandon Link

Cycle Orbital is accessible from Clandon station via the very busy A247 / A25 both of which fail cycle-friendly criteria, so until April 2018 this was omitted as The Missing Link. On the revisit, a byway that on the first recce was a quagmire was entirely passable, even after an exceptionally cold and wet spring. Furthermore the route also provides walking/cycling access to Send Prison, so a worthwhile late addition.

The link starts on the N, London-bound, platform, so cross by the footbridge. The route meanders through a private estate before reaching byways 0.8 N and 1.1 E. Turn R and south for Arc 7, Clandon, Hatchlands and Clandon Park; L for Ripley on Arc 8a.
