For the Inner Arcs: R at Bulstrode Cross then L Bulstrode Lane to 3.2 Kings Langley, with lovely open views. After crossing Grand Union Canal 3.7 and Spoke 10 canal the climb up to Bedmond on Toms Lane is a rare functional stretch.

At Bedmond 5.3 (R for Spoke 11NW to Elstree) turn L and 2nd R at the white chapel to continue on Bedmond Lane to Potter’s Crouch 6.8. Bear L on Potters Crouch La to join A4147 before the roundabout - with panoramic view of St Albans Abbey over Verulamium Park. Use pedestrian lights to cross into Verulamium car park and museum.
