Amersham-Ashridge link

Amersham and Chesham have two advantages as access stations for the Chilterns and beyond: they are in Oyster Zone 9 rather than 6, free to Freedom Pass holders - and Metropolitan services are accessible with bikes from 9am travelling against rush hour flow. Berkhamsted is reachable within 30 minutes on the other hand, and the link to Spin-off 11 having skirting Berkhamsted Castle is a gently graded climb. The whole link avoids the busy A416 main road except for a mile through the N Chesham suburbs.
